This playful dessert transforms a classic banana split into a sliceable, crowd-pleasing treat built on a rich chocolate brownie base. The fudgy crust bakes up soft and chewy, creating the perfect foundation for layers of creamy banana pudding, fluffy whipped topping, and colorful fresh fruit.
Each bite delivers the nostalgic flavors of an old-fashioned ice cream parlor favorite—sweet bananas, juicy strawberries, pineapple, crunchy peanuts, and a drizzle of chocolate sauce—all beautifully arranged over a decadent brownie “pizza.” It’s a fun and festive dessert that’s easy to customize with your favorite toppings.
Ingredients
- Cooking spray
- 1 (18.4-ounce) package brownie mix
- 2/3 cup vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 large eggs
- 1 (5-ounce) package instant banana cream pudding mix
- 3 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 1/2 cups cold milk
- 1 (8-ounce) container whipped topping (such as Cool Whip®)
- 1 medium banana, thinly sliced
- 4 large strawberries, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup drained pineapple tidbits
- 12 maraschino cherries
- 1/2 cup chopped peanuts
- 2 tablespoons chocolate sauce
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly coat a 12-inch round pizza pan with cooking spray.
- In a large mixing bowl, stir together the brownie mix, vegetable oil, water, and eggs until just combined. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pizza pan.
- Bake for about 15 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Remove from the oven and allow the brownie crust to cool completely, about 30 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, beat the pudding mix and softened cream cheese together until smooth. Gradually add the cold milk, mixing until thick and creamy. Gently fold in one-third of the whipped topping.
- Spread the pudding mixture evenly over the cooled brownie crust. Top with the remaining whipped topping, smoothing it into an even layer.
- Arrange the sliced bananas, strawberries, and pineapple over the top. Drizzle with chocolate sauce and sprinkle with chopped peanuts. Slice into 12 pieces and garnish each slice with a cherry just before serving, or refrigerate until ready to serve.
