Total Time: 2 hours 30 minutes
Servings: 8
Yield: 1 (9-inch) pie

Ingredients

  • 1 (3-ounce) package strawberry-flavored gelatin mix
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup boiling water
  • 1 (8-ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • 2 1/2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 (9-inch) prepared graham cracker crust
  • 4 fresh strawberries, halved, for garnish (optional)

Directions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the strawberry gelatin mix, sugar, and boiling water. Stir until the gelatin and sugar have completely dissolved.
  2. Place the bowl in the refrigerator and chill until the mixture begins to thicken and becomes syrupy, about 10 minutes.
  3. Gently fold the thawed whipped topping into the gelatin mixture until smooth and fully incorporated.
  4. Add the sliced strawberries and carefully fold them into the filling until evenly distributed.
  5. Spoon the strawberry mixture into the prepared graham cracker crust, spreading it evenly to the edges.
  6. If desired, arrange the halved strawberries around the edge of the pie for a decorative finish.
  7. Refrigerate the pie for at least 2 hours, or until fully set.
  8. Slice and serve chilled.

Chefs Notes

  • For an extra burst of strawberry flavor, use peak-season fresh strawberries.
  • A homemade graham cracker or traditional pie crust can be substituted for the prepared crust.
  • Allow the pie to chill overnight for the firmest texture and easiest slicing.
  • Top each slice with additional whipped topping and fresh strawberries before serving.
  • Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
