Ingredients

  • 1 yellow onion, chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 red bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 teaspoons beef bouillon granules
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup uncooked white rice

Directions

  1. Place a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the ground beef to the skillet and begin browning it.
  3. Stir in the chopped onion, green bell pepper, and red bell pepper.
  4. Add the beef bouillon granules, salt, seasoned salt, and black pepper.
  5. Cook and stir the mixture until the beef is fully browned, crumbly, and no longer pink.
  6. Carefully drain and discard any excess grease from the skillet.
  7. Pour the water into the skillet and stir to combine.
  8. Add the uncooked white rice and mix well.
  9. Increase the heat and bring the mixture to a boil.
  10. Once boiling, reduce the heat to medium-low.
  11. Cover the skillet with a lid.
  12. Allow the rice to simmer for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the rice is tender and the liquid has been fully absorbed.
