Servings: 12 bars

Ingredients

  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 2 cups confectioners’ sugar
  • 1 cup butter or margarine, melted
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1 ½ cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 4 tablespoons peanut butter

Directions

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, confectioners’ sugar, melted butter, and 1 cup peanut butter. Stir until the mixture is smooth and fully incorporated.
  2. Press the mixture firmly and evenly into the bottom of an ungreased 9×13-inch baking dish to form the base layer.
  3. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate chips and the remaining 4 tablespoons of peanut butter. Microwave in 15-second intervals, stirring between each, until completely melted and smooth.
  4. Pour the chocolate mixture over the peanut butter base and spread evenly to cover.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or until the bars are fully set.
  6. Slice into squares and serve chilled or at room temperature.

Chefs Notes

  • For cleaner cuts, chill thoroughly and use a sharp knife wiped clean between slices.
  • Swap semisweet chocolate for milk or dark chocolate to suit your taste preference.
  • If you enjoy a sweet-and-spicy twist, add a small drizzle of Sriracha to the chocolate layer for a subtle kick.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for best texture and freshness.
